Travel insurance for Non-UK nationals and Ex-Patriates

Available to most nationalities and ex-pats, almost on an “anywhere to anywhere” basis whilst travelling outside home country.

Travel insurance policies are usually only available for purchase by residents of the country where the insurance company is based. For instance, as a UK-based company, our policies are normally only available to UK or in some instances, EU (EEA) residents.

Our Global Voyager International Travel Insurance is different. This policy is available for purchase by residents of most countries around the world, as long as it is to cover them for travelling and/or working outside their home country (this is travel insurance, as opposed to private health/medical insurance).

Cover is available for single trips of up to two years duration, with an option to extend for a third year. There is also an Annual Multi-Trip version for frequent travellers, covering unlimited trips, as long as no individual trip is longer than either 31 or 45 days.

Cover is modular, so you can add the types of cover that you need at a level that suits your circumstances or budget. There are four cover levels – Basic £60,000 Medical, Standard £600,000 Medical, Super £1,500,000 Medical or Elite £6,000,000 Medical, then you can add optional modules for Baggage, Personal Liability, Delay, Personal Accident compensation, Cancellation, Wintersports/Hazardous Sports etc at extra cost. This policy is not suitable for long-term motorcycle touring, as it only covers a maximum of 14 days per trip on a motorcycle.

Due to the complexities of the law and local markets, this policy is not available to residents of Australia, Canada, India, Pakistan and some others (see drop-down menu on quote facility). There are also restrictions for United States residents, who can only use this policy if they are already outside the United States at time of purchase. United States residents can be covered for brief return visits home, but only for a maximum of 89 days in any 12 month period.

This policy is available for purchase either before or after departure (with odd exceptions) and will be available for purchase in Sterling, US Dollars or Euros.
