Many people think that Long Stay travel insurance only comes in certain set durations. If you are going on a 9-month overseas trip, we can offer you 9 months travel insurance. You do not need to buy a 12-month policy as our Long Stay cover can be sold from any duration from 2 months to 18 months.

If you are unsure of the final duration of your trip, you can start with a shorter duration that you are comfortable with, and if things go well and you decide to stay longer, you can extend cover by adding extra months. For instance, if you have a 12 month Working Holiday Visa for Australia, but you aren’t sure if you will want to be away for a year, you can take 9 months travel insurance and if you enjoy it and want to do the full year, just add 3 extra months.
